Just last Friday it was announced that the Windows powered Microsoft Surface Pro 3 tablet has some substantial time-limited discounts available.
According to CNET, Microsoft are knocking up to £250 off the tablet, but the offer is only running between now and 01/03/15.
The 12-inch Surface Pro 3, powered by windows 8, was launched in May 2014, and the Surface was earlier this year revealed to have helped drive a huge $1.1 billion in revenue as a result of its success. CNET even rated it ‘Microsoft’s best PC to date’. We are unsure as to what has driven this sale (perhaps Microsoft are just feeling generous) but it is definitely one to make the most of!
Although we don’t sell them, as a certified Microsoft Partner ourselves we of course have made a lot of use of the Surface Pro’s, running about 30 internally in replacement of desktops and laptops - and we think they’re great!
- Ability to run powerful desktop applications - They’re ideal for SMEs like us who would use the surface for business purposes, as you’re not compromising like you would be with a tablet.
- Lightweight & portable - It weighs in at a light 1.76 pounds, and is only 0.36 inches thin, meaning it’s easy to carry around to your meetings.
- Versatility - This hybrid device is the perfect combination, as it acts as a full PC for heavy use, and as tablet for when you are out and about or to use at your leisure.
- Positive reviews - In 2014, the Surface Pro 3 won awards for ‘Computer of the Year’ and ‘Gadget of the Year’ by Stuff magazine, beating the likes of Apple’s iPad Air 2. This in itself indicates to us how popular they really are.
- User Experience - The kickstand allows you to prop it up to an angle that’s comfortable for you, and the touchscreen and surface pen allows you to get fully interactive with the device.
As you can tell we are big advocates of this product. Its lightweight mobility, combined with the powerful nature of a laptop or PC that can run critical business systems, means it is an all in one for mobile and office based staff.
To take advantage of these discounts, it’s worth checking out Microsoft’s MSStore. Some of the deals and models are also available at the moment in John Lewis, PC World and Currys.
